Beautiful for the Ugly
Seasons, not just a company name, but a
lifestyle, an illustration of how beautiful life really
can be. Jamie Thinnes founded the multi-faceted company
in 1996, his love affair with electronic music was the motivation
behind the commencement of Seasons. His fascination of how
a DJ could manipulate the moods of their listeners, loaned
him the curiosity to dig deeper into the world of sound.
He enrolled and graduated in a recording engineering program,
refining his knack for sound design and structure. A short
time after, he founded his now thriving Seasons Recordings
imprint (formerly Earthtones).
Fast-forward ten years and you will find the name Jamie
Thinnes, as a DJ that is aggressively sought after all over
the world. He has toured throughout Northern America, Europe,
South Africa, and most recently Australia. Jamie also is
a resident DJ in Los Angeles, Orange County, Puerto Vallarta,
Vancouver, and San Diego.
Seasons Recordings, record label, has become one of the
most respected and desired labels in the house music industry.
Jamie’s passion for blending organic style with an
industrial undertone has been his baseline for not only
his manner as a DJ, but as well as the benchmark sound stamped
on each mindfully picked record. Season’s albums and
artists include: Undercover Agency, 2nd Shift, Sumo, JT
Donaldson, Derrick Carter, Lance DeSardi, DJ Heather, Joshua
(a.k.a.: IZ), SWAG, Freaks, and other great works and musicians.
Jamie’s Success in the recording business aspired
him to branch the label out in a new direction. He started
Seasons cloth in the beginning of 2000. The clothing line
follows the same characteristics of the natural flow of
the Seasons label. With timeless pieces, clean streamlines
and classic graphics. The Seasons theme, “Beautiful
for the Ugly”, organic life fighting to survive and
keep the manmade jungle alive and harmonious, is carried
throughout the Seasons empire.
With the pleased audience of Seasons ventures, the natural
progression into newest element , Seasons Culinary, was
formed. These are organized events held at first rate restaurants
and lounges, for a night filled with beautiful music, delectable
food, and cultivated patrons, to create an ambiance of overall
pure enjoyment. Currently being held monthly at the Onyx
Room in San Diego, and the original night of Chimayo’s
in Huntington Beach, a weekly occasion, every Thursday.
Seasons believes in the evolution of change, and will continue
to evolve and grow in all aspects that could use a touch
of the company’s natural beauty.
