HISTORY
Mirus was born in Bergen, Norway in 1974 of a Norwegian
mother and a Lebanese father. He started traveling at a
very young age and spent long periods of time in different
countries around the world. Already as a child music had
a passionate impact on him. Throughout his youth and after
much time with his friends in the club scene, he became
greatly influenced by different music styles such as disco,
funk, soul, pop and dance. Mirus left Norway at the age
of 19 and moved to the U.S where he was inspired by the
house scene, which was just beginning. A couple of years
later he moved on to Paris where he started his new job
as a flight attendant working on the Concorde, traveling
over the different continents of the world. Spending most
of his free time in record shops of New York, Chicago, Tokyo
and London, Mirus developed his musical guise and decided
he was ready to share his passion and to start playing records
for the crowds.
THE DJ
After only a couple of months Mirus was recognized for his
individual style of music and he soon got the opportunity
to do his first residency in Toulouse’s famous club
- Baltazar. After accumulating experience he decided to
move to his favorite place in Europe, Barcelona. There he
started to engage into the club scene and began to get gigs
in big clubs such as Club Danzatoria (Barcelona), La Terrrazza
(Barcelona) and Giant at Club Avalon (L.A). As a result
of his experience Mirus then became the resident dj for
Karma production (Barcelona). Mirus is also co founder of
the concept Indigo together with his good friends Dj Jaime
Fiorito(92 db ibiza) and artist Stuart Patterson(Colorola,
Naked Music). Indigo now holds a monthly residency in Club
Fellini(Barcelona) with Mirus alongside international Djs
and producers. Indigo have held events in clubs such as
La Terrrazza (Barcelona), Kiss Somny(Ibiza), Hotel Es Vive(Ibiza),
Mood (Bergen) and are working on a world tour. He is also
currently available on La Terrrazza World Tour now present
in most major European cities
MUSIC STYLE
Being a house-music lover, Mirus is now a professional dj
taking inspiration from the American house scene and also
from the latest electro-house tendencies happening in Europe.
He now also experiments with new sounds that span a wide
range of electronica.
