Biography:
Kevin is one-half of the songwriting/production team known
as BLAZE. They have been recording dance oriented music
for over 20 years and are considered to be pioneers in soulful
house sound. As songwriters, producers, remixers and artist,
Blaze have worked with some of the industries biggest names
like Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Babyface, Shikera, Masters
at Work and countless others.
In 1991 Kevin partnered with New York DJ
Timmy Regisford to form the now world renown longest running
party in NYC, CLUB SHELTER . During the past 13 years at
Club Shelter, Kevin has produce some of nightlife’s
most memorable events--shows and parties the featured talent
like Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, Grace Jones, Mary J. Blige
and many others including superstar DJs Larry Levan, David
Morales, Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, and
Francios K.
Kevin is now President and Co-Owner of the venerable West
End Record Company. He is actively directing the legendary
classics catalog which include the disco classics "Heartbeat"
by Taana Gardner, "Hotshot" by Karen Young and
"Don't Make Me Wait" by the New York Citi Peech
Boys. His work at West End is centered around introducing
the world to some new and exciting songwriters, artist and
producers in the soulful house scene.
After years of playing alongside DJ Timmy
Regisford at CLUB SHELTER, in 2002 Kevin embarked on his
first international DJ tour. He has entertained audiences
in United States, Japan, France, Canada and the United Kingdom.
His mix of House, Funk & Soul, Hip-Hop and Jazz highlight
and display his musical influences. Kevin says, "My
greatest joy is to add value to the universe".
