Biography :
Frederic Blais, aka Fred Everything, is
a 25-year-old dj/producer based in Montreal, Canada. Having
been involved in electronic music and parties for more than
10 years now, Fred looks to cement his increasing international
reputation in both disciplines.
Fred has consistently produced a stream
of quality underground house cuts, whilst earning himself
praise for his precise, dynamic and energetic djing style.
Resident at Vira la Derencha at the Jingxi club in Montreal
and a regular guest at Angel Moraes' Stereo, Fred's vision
takes in latin, disco and funk influences.
Following several years in various residencies
at some of Montreal's best house music clubs, Fred has recently
been djing all over Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and the US.
His big break in the UK came when Jim Byers
from DJ Magazine proclaimed his set as being the highlight
of 1997's "In The City" festival in Glasgow. From
there, Fred quickly conquered the cream of quality UK house
music clubs including Basics (Leeds), Home (London), SubClub
(Glasgow), Ministry of Sound (London) and Tribal Funktion
(Edinburgh). In Europe, Fred unleashed his talents at the
Moog (Barcelona), Skansen (Norway) and Respect @ Rex (Paris)
Fred has recorded on labels from both sides
of the Atlantic. Canadian labels Vinyl Peace, and Crash
Records, US labels Earth and Tag and UK labels DIY, Shaboom,
Bosh and of course 2020.
Culminating to the present day with the
imminent release of his debut album, Under The Sun. (May
22nd 2000 on 2020 Vision)
Finally, Fred has earned himself plenty
of praise as a result of a clutch of remixes of tracks by
Derrick Carter, Shaboom, Toka, Kanita, Nídea Davenport,
NLO and BRS.
Fred Everything has spent only 25 years
under the sun and has achieved so much, one shudders to
think what he might achieve in the next 25 years.
